Der Akteur ‎– "Rockery" ( Sound Of Pig – SOP 9) 1986

More obscure cassette noise from Sound of Pig, from some German industrial band called Der Akteur. And a superbly muffled lo-fi effort it is too. Lots of softly distorted machine noises, mixed in with speech samples that sound like they are coming from inside a box of insulation foam, underwater. There's the odd snippet of Plunderphonia, here and there, including a quick snatch of 'proper music in the anthemic ' Dead Kennedys' "California Uber Alles".There are parts that sound like it was recorded in the engine room of a speed boat, and others sound like the cassette is being chewed up by your computer. Never a boring moment, full of creativity, and virtually no mention of Nazi's or Murderers; what more can you want from an Industrial tape?
