Of course, the first of these prog/punk
fractured art rockers were, and I use this word advisedly, the
'awesome', This Heat.Who were superb beyond words. 'Deceit',their
second album, is probably in my top ten most played LP's of all
time.Still play it when I get sick of listening to the other stuff
that pollutes my airspace from time to time. Not only is it a
musically innovative masterpiece, its a great sing-along record.
Live, This Heat was a special beast
indeed, always reworking and reshaping their standards, forever
pushing the boundaries of 'Rock' forward, progressively.
So Here's the first of eight live
concerts from their four most active years, 1979-82; a performance at
The Scala Cinema in London, from 20th December 1979, great
stuff with pretty good recording quality ;maybe a mixing desk feed me
thinks.

Thanks and thanks again! You are putting up some great stuff!
Cheers.
Be prepared for a This Heat onslaught.
You're my f@*%in' hero. Don't know how you get yer paws on all this stuff but thanks very much. Actually, I don't really "do" heroes as they tend to let you down but you catch my drift!
Nice one Nick... I actually had the pleasure of seeing This Heat bottom of the bill (!!!) to U2 and Altered Images (who were fab and I got a snog off Clare Grogan at the bar while U2 were on)
You got to snog Claire Grogan!!!!!??? Respect.
Watch U2, or snog Claire Grogan? One of the easier choices methinks.
Wonder what she thought of This Heat?
Hey, david Iz, awww let me be your hero?!
See what you've done to me...I'm pleading. I won't let you down I promise.
On seconds thoughts,Nah! I don't do hero's either.....in fact check out my blog description on the top of the title page; that will explain my feelings on heroes.
This is excellent... one of the best T.H. live recordings I've heard to date. :)
As the spectacularly unfunny Irish comedian, Jimmy Cricket, used to say...."Come 'ere....there's more!".
The amsterdam one is especially Hi-fi.
