Lo-Fi cassette recordings that reveal,in amongst the constant audience chit-chat, that This Heat had it all sorted before they had a record out. But we knew that anyway after the two peel sessions of 1977.
Proto-post punk by the first post-punk band(it was either them or Alternative TV?)?Post rock before post punk? Or were they just the last ones standing from the Canterbury era? Whatever their pigeonhole,they were certainly ploughing their own furrow in an era when everyone else were doing endless versions of “Louie Louie” and “Johnny B. goode”(not that there's anything wrong with that of course!).
