Deutsch Amerikanische Freundschaft ‎– "Produkt Der Deutsch-Amerikanischen Freundschaft" (Warning Records ‎– WR 001) 1979

DAF's first album was the vocal-less "Produkt", featuring 22 short abstract proto math rock instrumentals that twist and turn like a musical eel in ones fingers. This always reminded me of those American bands from the mid to late eighties on labels like Touch and Go, eg Scratch Acid ,Rapeman, Jesus Lizard etc...but singer-less, and  several years earlier. Very Inventive and forward looking stuff indeed.

This sounds great! Nice to see you mention the early Tough and Go bands. Also reminds me of Hunting Lodge at times. Makes me nostalgic for the old Michigan scene. There were also a lot of unsigned bands that were in a similar mindset to this. Can't remember anyone having this record or talking about it back then.

Looks promising, thanks Jonny. Hope you're doing okay over there. Alright here, 'cept trump is still our POTUS, so things kinda suck here in so many ways. Then again, if is that what we elected, perhaps it's good we see what we really are. Blech!
