Joy Division - "Electric ballroom,London 26/10/1979" (Bootleg)

This excellent quality audience recording starts off with the two worst JD tunes, but "I remember Nothing"is far darker than the album version; which is more than I can say for JD's 'Hit'."Love will tear us apart" came second to Robbie Williams' "Angels" in a poll to find the best British single of all time???????.....yes "LWTUA" is better than "Angels" at least lyrically, in fact isn't every single ever released better than that simply awful Chav's anthem?
The rest of this gig is slightly above average, despite Ian Curtis going missing for the crescendo of "Day Of The Lords".....he may have been under the weather again. He does sound rather subdued, as if his mind wasn't entirely on the job;so I suspect maybe he'd had, or was going to have, another fit.In hindsight his health situation does add an extra poignancy to this nostalgic trip.Everyone loves a tragedy don't they?....fucking ghouls!
