Joy Division were now touring as the support act for the Buzzcocks. Reports vary as to who blew the other off the stage, but I guess they did it to each other in different ways. Joy Division were a much more serious proposition, musically, than the Buzzcocks, who were much more on the pop and entertainment side of things.
Either way, this tape is of atrocious quality, like the typical audience bootleg one would buy from one of those dodgy vendor's lurking in the market on a saturday afternoon. Nevertheless, this is the only record of that evening in the north east of England.
