Two side long prog workouts, hitting every shade and hue of the Prog Rock Rainbow. A veritable cornucopia of funny time signatures and virtuosity. A smorgasbord of different tempo's and ........I'll stop now.
Basically its a rather good, if not the finest, SBB LP, treading that fine line between Jazz Rock Fusion, and Symphonic space rock.
Whats more is that there's another lengthy prog Rock excursion added as a bonus track. And once again, its never boring or derivative, and so opposite to what the capitalist bloc was selling us in 1977,that if you were a 'Real Punk', this is what you should have been listening to while your mates were enjoying themselves at a Sham 69 concert.
Tracklist:
1 Ze Słowem Biegnę Do Ciebie 19:14
2 Przed Premierą 19:29
Bonus Track:
3 Odejście (Tęsknota/Wyzwolenie/Odejście/Rozłam/Pojednanie) 29:07

Side-long tracks are a prerequisite of progressive pop, aren't they? I'm with Bob Wyatt in that I hate the term 'prog'. Such and ugly vocal sound, it ought to be an expletive. I guess it is for most people. Gimme dat old-time pretentious condensation baby!
I think I've always been a progger, since i first heard Colloseum and electric Ladyland,Tubular Bells,Pink Floyd's Animals,as a child, then we had Magazine, throbbing Gristle and PiL. Post Punk/Industrial was 'Prog' in hindsight. Music that moves forward and pushes the bonderies of acceptability, that's Progressive music....certainly NOT ELP....although side one of their first album is a guilty pleasure of mine.Don't tell anyone.
Yeah, I still sneak a listen to the first ELP lp now and them. Pity they plagiarized big chunks of it from Bartok and Janáček. They've since given credit where it's due. As a friend correctly observed, with ELP, the earlier the better.
The progressive tag seems to mean nothing since 98% of the bands who are given that designation couldn't be more squarely in the safe middle of the road.
Sorry to moan but my download didn't contain track 2....i'd normally let these things go but it's such a fantastic album that i feel i'm missing something special.
Quite right to moan.....i'm moaning too,why this compression programme always seemes to miss out a track if i'm playing the file when i compress it I dunno.
I'm re-upping it, should be ready in a few hours....with track 2.
Jonny, you’re a gem amongst men.
