Minóy ‎– "The Tyranny Of Distance" (Sound Of Pig ‎– SOP 209) 1986

We've already had Luis Mesa's versions of the" Forbidden Planet" soundtrack,so its only fair that Minóy did his own attempt. Except that  Minóy's version is far more towards the "Clangers" end of the spectrum than Mesa's;for which I am most thankful.(NB,as i've said before The Clangers is a strange BBC kids programme from the 70's).
That's restricted to side A anyway.
Side B is two different parties(as in the forced jollity type of Party) recorded from inside a pocket.I've had many voice-mails that sound like this.basically I should have released them as avant garde noise scapes, then I would be as ignored as the late great  Minóy is today. But, he is becoming less ignored by the day,to hopefully become another in the long line of 'famous when dead' innovators of Art.

A -The Tyranny Of Distance (29:42)
B -Tennessee Dance Song Mix (Homage To Prince) (30:59)

thank you very much. I am very honored. you will be more than welcome in my site. I hope you will find your pleasure. I think about ways to leave this murdering society and the murdering mankind who created it to live in a new and incorruptible loving kind. You can imagine how lonely I feel. my music is made of this.
You are doing a great job, please, don't stop.
thank you again, take care

I'm retroactively following The Clangers references, it's a good a road map as any to navigate one's way through musicblogworld.

Special mention has to go to Roca in the comments above for his classic line - "discover ugly music that nobody listens to and nobody likes" - consider yourself bookmarked!

Did i mention that one of my dumbass racist Front Nationale supporting neighbours sounds exactly like the Soup Dragon when he speaks his stupid words. And they regularly make Soup for lunch. His 'Lez Dawson' lookalikey wife, takes great delight in telling everyone her insipid recipes at every opportunity. I am thankfully moving in a few months, back to the UK....thats how desperate I am!

I just discovered this great blog! Good Missionaries, one of my all time favorites. Great job Jonny Zchivago.
Hey Roca I just checked out your bandcamp page. WOW! GREAT! I've just checked out 3 of your titles. Locomotive... is in the same league as SARKIS: De l'enquête sur l'arsenal-atelier de la rue V. 1975. Regalo-Univers... is great like Kasa Ruyce, another bandcamp great one, and Regalo-Jump... reminds me of the great Michael Yonkers. Wow I picked 3 random albums from you and all are great and in a very diverse style!!

Have you left a comment on Roca's blog page? He may not see this.

Then you can go and check Year Zero:
