Adrenalin O.D. – "The Wacky Hi-Jinks Of Adrenalin O.D." (Buy Our Records – BOR-12-002-CS)

This is one of those "Hey guess what I'm doing today" posts so beloved of those Facebook,Instagram, and Twitter type twats.
We Bloggers look down our hooked noses at this kind of narcissistic behavior, and also one has to say it's all so terribly "Jejune"??????

    uninteresting

None of the above applies to me of course.....except maybe all of it!
No, i'm not gonna post a photoshopped selfie, but i will tell you what I was doing today, and its jolly interesting, listen to this.....I was painting my roof terrace in 36 degrees C of ruthless greenhouse effected heat, whilst admiring the breathtaking views of the Larzac Plateau in les parcs du l'Haut-Languedoc (Unesco Listed),while listening to Adrenaline O.D.'e debut LP at high volume....such Hi-Jinks. One of the greatest moments in the evolution of US Hardcore, with sublimely chunky guitar sounds like electrified mud shoveled down yer dancing pants. The delicate juxtapositioning of these two extremes did not escape my appreciation......unlike the instructions on the paint tin which said not to use in temperatures above 29 degrees Celsius.....Whoops!>
But, what I like most of all about this rather fine platter,is that its so incredibly motherfuckingly "JEJUNE"! (according to definition number 1 of course.Definition 2 probably applies to this post).

Wha? Are you sayin’ I’m so fookin’ stoopid I need words defined for me?!? Nailed it again Jonny. There’s not a lot related to Ameriklan culture I’d fully endorse, but I rekkin’ A.O.D’d be one of them. Naive?, simplistic?, and superficial?, well yeah. That’s how you know it’s from here. Now that I think about it, a perfect soundtrack for painting in a 36 degree greenhouse gas chocked oven. Only 36-C? Must’ve been early in the day. What color did you use. I hear we now need to paint train tracks white to keep them from melting. Swell.

You guessed it Rev....White was used, matt white exterior paint....some crazy stuff this involved mixxing together too substances and witing five mins before applying.reflecting that evil heat back into space.I used eco-friendly Limewash last year like Tom Sawyer and Huck Finn would have used...but it fell off in the winter! So i've gone the petrochemical route....gee whizz i could talk about this all day.....tomorrow i'm re-gluing tiles on the roof....its four stories high up there y'know ....as for which US Hardcore album i'll play is anyone's guess.

This album always brings a big goofy smile to my face. Proves beyond a reasonable doubt the best US hardcore is funny and any song more than two minutes long is a waste of everyone's time.

Somewhere along the line my dad obtained what he said was the navy’s formula for lime whitewash and painted our house with it right around the time I popped out. It has the reputation as being cheap and easy to apply but not that long lasting. In his case he was painting new brink and I imagine he applied at least two or three coats and the brink soaked it up. Twenty five years later he re-washed, not because of any flaking, it just looked a little dingy after all that time. I remember doing some work on the roof too. The pitch wasn’t so steep, so I thought I was some sort of pro, until I tried to work on my grandmother’s roof and spent most of the time spread-eagle on the thing! Terror-core would have been appropriate. Hope yer pitch isn’t all that steep and you can the work earlier in the day.
