Funnily enough that album didn't have many songs from their original set list - they're on this album. Songs like quality control, identity etc come from the same time period and songwriter as adults and children and future shock. Same guitarist as those songs too. John Halvorsen. It's true Alister did have a complimentary style to John that worked well, but saying this is not related to the original name is rubbish. They swapped instruments regularly. It's a shame the original band didn't record Lead Room - it could have been as great as Coalminer's Song.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08853699516919144710noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8624282421125812337.post-54221292435194162392019-03-24T11:03:42.008+01:002019-03-24T11:03:42.008+01:00Nah.....this record is awful by basically a differ...Nah.....this record is awful by basically a different group.....also 'in my opinion',but an opinion shared by many....and i don't like being in the majority, but in this case they are correct.
Scheech!!!!! It stands up very well to a re-listen. Interestingly enough, according to John Halvorsen, this is the lineup that did the most number of actual gordons gigs. Well worth a re-listen and a re-release. It might just surprise you.
Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8624282421125812337.post-83274555912200804042018-10-06T17:52:23.910+02:002018-10-06T17:52:23.910+02:00Interesting to hear this finally... the change of ...Interesting to hear this finally... the change of singer and the, erm, interesting production values make it sounds like a completely different band from the first one. Not surprising that it's never been reissued...

Cheers for the opportunity to hear it!Slackernoreply@blogger.com
